New Year, New Medical Emergency
(This time it wasn’t ours, though. Once we broke out in hives around 1AM on New Year’s day, which was much more on the nose.)
Today has been spent in an emergency room waiting area after we convinced our mother to let us take her to the ER for what was quite likely a heart attack (edit: it was a very bad virus!). This also reminded us to give a reminder that heart attacks present differently in female patients, and often appear similar to a very bad case of the flu with severe nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain, and/or clamminess, among others! Please keep in mind that the warning signs people talk about about are the signs typical in males. Awesome, thanks.
We will say, though, it’s much more fun when you are not the patient. We are pretty sure we’ve never been to an ER for someone else’s medical emergency, but we’ve been probably over a dozen times for our own weird health shit. (We even got a visitor name tag! It has the worst image of us imaginable on it! When we figure out what the hell to do with the hospital bracelets we’re hoarding, we might include it.)
Now we’re back home, and we’re just excited to not be responsible for anything for a couple hours. Crow& intends to use this time to draw X-Men smut, “as the good L-rd intended.”
We are still learning how to make a daily blog worth reading. Usually when we put out this much writing this quickly it’s political or educational essays, but that gets draining fast. We have ambitions of more reflective stuff and opinion pieces on art. Maybe we’ll make a tag for interesting entries later on.
Anyway, goodnight!
