You Should Listen 2 CDs Fuck the H8rs

we got a CD player at the thrift store a couple weeks ago, after we’d already thrifted four CDs that we just kinda listened to in our step-dads car. (kinda did that out of order.) anyway, it’s the best thing ever, and everyone should have one, i don’t wanna hear about how much optical disks suck (unless ur autistic, seriously, 3 separate autistic people including 2 that monday had just met via a dating app have weighed in)! physically owning media is really fun, and it’s subscription-proof. spotify can’t take down my scratched to hell fallout boy CD i got off a thrift store shelf! for some reason, that CD plays better in the car than my CD player? the 1st song is just unplayable tho. it’s fine i got it for like 2 bucks. another plus for us is that fostie (the body’s mom, my foster parent) has four massive binders of CDs that she hasn’t touched in over a decade, and we’ve been getting to go through them and take whatever we wanna. crow& is really stressed out by the lack of organiza...

New Year, New Medical Emergency

(This time it wasn’t ours, though. Once we broke out in hives around 1AM on New Year’s day, which was much more on the nose.) Today has been spent in an emergency room waiting area after we convinced our mother to let us take her to the ER for what was quite likely a heart attack (edit: it was a very bad virus!). This also reminded us to give a reminder that heart attacks present differently in female patients, and often appear similar to a very bad case of the flu with severe nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain, and/or clamminess, among others! Please keep in mind that the warning signs people talk about about are the signs typical in males.  Awesome, thanks. We will say, though, it’s much more fun when you are not  the patient. We are pretty sure we’ve never been to an ER for someone else’s medical emergency, but we’ve been probably over a dozen times for our own weird health shit. (We even got a visitor name tag! It has the worst image of us imaginable on...

multi bechdel test, or an unsolicited unskippable moon knight cutscene poorly adapted from crow&'s tumblr blog

Recently, multi author and beloved mutual Rogan Lee made a post on Dreamwidth about a Multi Bechdel Test —basically, do two plural characters talk to each other in this piece of media at all? There were, unsurprisingly, very few examples, and one that got mentioned was Moon Knight and Sentry interacting once. (This is a barely adapted version of my original comment/ post on Tumblr , and also nerd shit, which is why I’ve suddenly discovered sentence case.) But actually, Moon Knight has a more recent example—several of them—and they’re also much better moments! If you’ve been following the MacKay run, or talked to me for more than five minutes, you might already know what I’m talking about. The current run of Moon Knight not only has multiple multis talking to each other, but has them talk to each other about being multi, and furthermore mixes discussions medical plurality and spiritual plurality. At one point there are three multis in the same place, the mindscape of one of ...

today was chill :3 (crow&)

i am doing this 4am the next day but i'm counting it for the daily blog, i accidentally took a nap that threw off my schedule. anyway! today was a good time. i went and ran our monthly plural meet up , which had two new pairs of shoes, and we got to have a very fun conversation. i have been starving a bit for social interaction and for strangers, so it was a delightful time for me. for some reason in the past day or so our brain has been doing some funky little inner world things. so far it's looked like early genAI trying to make an image of a suburban house? have you ever been haunted by a broken original dall-E's idea of a beige mom's suburban conneticut home? because that's what i'm going through right now. to cope with this catastrophe, i rewatched the real will wood, this time with Q (my best friend/riley's boyfriend), and also this time on weed (the scandal). it was exactly as funny as i remembered from thirty six hours ago. now, i don't want to g...

Not Much to Say, But Saying It Anyway

Day two of the blog. Go, team! Today was an “everyone has something to do” day, and they sure did it. Crow& wrote fanfiction never to see the light of day, Monday took five hours to hang out with his singular friend, and Riley closed out by watching The Amazing Digital Circus (which is to say, they’re going to do that right after this entry is posted). We’ve been having a lot of trouble having a sleep schedule that isn’t utterly insanely fucked, so today we’re giving going to bed at 3AM (our regular bedtime) a shot. There isn’t really anything to give commentary on. Or, more accurately, Crow& wants to write commentary on The Real Will Wood, a concert film mockumentary, but is way too tired to do it right now. Tomorrow we run our monthly meet up for plural people in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Depending how it goes, we might post about that. Or if no one’s there (people often aren’t around the holidays), that’ll be time to write commentary on the postmodernist dark cabaret ...

hello, world!

new year, new blog! due to immense pressure by tumblr user mothcub/blogspot user lilly ashton  (aka a single post), we now have a blogspot. unlike our other shared blog and social media, though, this one doesn't use our professional url! ( our dreamwidth blog does, and if you're interested in good information on plurality, go there, we do our best.) the challenge is to blog every day, and we're going to give it our best shot! at least i (crow&) am. riley's been ringleading the mp3 resurgence, we've started listening to CDs, now it's time to go all the way and blog like it's... what year were blogs a thing? was 1999 right? today we are finally sitting up after a couple days bedbound by our shitty ass spine. [redacted] used that time to work on his website and listen to nine inch nails CDs, i used that time to do fanart of my most special favorite guy no one's ever heard of, and now... blog! we're not going deep with the introductions, but as an a...
